![]() ![]() We want you to know that we are here for your child, and that we are committed to investing in their future. They were planted with care and attention, just as we work with care and attention to support your child's growth and success. The tulips you currently see in the planter boxes at our East and West Campus serve as a reminder of this commitment. We are committed to fostering a community that is supportive, inclusive, and empowering for all of our students here at Grand Blanc High School. We take pride in our commitment to the unseen aspects of education, and we believe that our investment in these areas will pay dividends for your child in the years to come. This includes creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, providing emotional support, and encouraging students to pursue their passions and interests. It means investing in the unseen, the intangibles that make all the difference in a student's success. The staff at GBHS understands that investing in your child's education means much more than simply providing a good education. As you may know, the tulips that are currently blooming at our East and West Campus were planted last fall, by our teachers, as a symbol of this commitment. The pictures shown below highlight the commitment of the staff at Grand Blanc High School to support and invest in your children's education. I look forward to seeing many of you at our end of year events over the next several weeks. Thank you in advance for reminding your student how important finishing the year the right way is to them and our school community. I know the excitement of warm weather and summer break can get everyone a little “amped up,” but it is important to remain focused on a strong finish to the school year. Campus will also be busy with 100s of students completing advanced placement exams, spring athletes chasing championships, national honor society student inductions and all students working hard to have a successful conclusion to the academic year.įinally, I ask that everyone remind our students to stay focused and make good decisions over the final 6 weeks of school. Or students will dress to impress for Prom in Troy on May 6, receive their academic honors the evening of May 10 in the Tartoni Center, celebrate their last day of high school at the Senior All Night Party on May 20, and walk across the stage at commencement on June 1 in the brand new stadium. More importantly, the month of May is a month of excitement and celebration around campus as we begin the traditional sequence of events that honor the hard work of our graduating senior class. This new Athletics center, combined with the new adjacent fields, has been designed to not only improve the day to day functionality for the student athletes and their coaches but also creates a unique fan experience for the residents of Grand Blanc. As the saying goes… April Showers Bring May Flowers! I’m not sure if this applies to late April snow as well, but I am hopeful that warmer weather is just around the corner! Under the home plaza on the west sides is a tunnel that connects the practice field to the new stadium and provides access for players to exit the team rooms as they enter the field. This new faiclity not only houses at 25M stretch pool and related support spaces, but acts as a viewing platform from the south end zone with home and visitor plazas on the west and east sides. Enclosing the south end of the stadium is the new Athletics Center. Without a running track, the bleachers are brough in closer to the field to create a more intimate fan experience. Here the artifical turf will be striped for football, lacrosse, and soccer. The northern most portion of the site is the new stadium. A natural grass practice area with a new JV softball field flank it to the east. Continuing to the north, a new artifical turf paractice field will be installed with lights and a band tower to the east. Adjacent to the existing bleachers that will remain will be a new support facility with concessions, toilets, storage, and locker room for soccer. Just to the north of baseball and softball, the existing football stadium is being reimagined to become a new dedicated soccer and track facility with a new track, field events, natural grass soccer field. ![]() At the south end of the site, the existing varsity baseball and softball fields remain in their existing location but will be renovated to be full artifical turf fields. As a part of Grand Blanc’s 2020 bond, IDS worked to develop a new master plan for their high school athletics campus with implementation extending across four phases from the spring of 2021 to the fall of 2023. ![]()
